This week Jordan experienced a deviation from the norm. When he came home from work Wednesday night (he stayed at Whiteman and flew Tuesday night) there was no immediate smile from Abigail (from Mommy, yes, but who wants that smile when you can get a melt-your-heart Abigail smile?). He was crushed and approximately 2 seconds later she smiles at him and everything is okay in our world.
Every night Abigail has some baby food and cereal for dinner. As most of you know, she pretty much feeds herself, and has been since about a week after she started eating solid foods. I'm unsure if it is because she feeds herself, or if it comes naturally, but she makes such a mess!! She has recently started trying to get to the bowl/jar/tub while she's eating (I'm not sure if she wants to dip the spoon in or what ~ haha!). Mommy's rule is that after she's done eating (and the bowl/jar/tub is empty) she can play away! She loves chewing on the jars and banging the spoon in the bowl. It's kinda funny, but her least favorite time of the evening is getting cleaned up. SO all of this mess ends up creating a fairly unhappy baby in the end. All-in-all I think she loves meal time and I love how happy she is during 99.9% of it!

This weekend we traveled to Mercer. Jordan's cousin was graduating on Sunday and we finally had a little free time, so we figured we would spend it with Jordan's family. We always have a really enjoyable time and it's fun to watch Abigail and Mason interact. Abigail is sitting really well and they're intereacting "better". They both pretty much do their own thing, but every now and then they'll babble at eachother and try to steal eachother's toys. It's pretty funny and none of us can wait until they're really playing together!
