*Side note: She now says she wants to be an Astronaut. She said she wants to walk on the moon, and I told her the only way to do that was to become an Astronaut.
Tonight it was snowing and the weather was overall, monsterous, so we decided to make some MONSTER cookies!!
I absolutely LOVE my mom's monster cookie recipe and guess what? It's gluten free!! That's a plus, because one of my best friends has Ciliac's, so she can actually eat these! Yea! :)
The recipe:
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp vanilla
1tsp corn syrup
1 1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tsp baking soda
4 1/2 cups oatmeal
2/3 cup chocolate chips (I use mini ones)
1/4 lb M&M's ~ I really like Reese's Pieces better!
YUMMY! We had Valentine's Day M's to use up, or I would have made them w/Reece's Pieces
Okay, so you simply cream the softened butter with the sugars. Then add the eggs, vanilla, syrup and peanut butter and mix well. This is where you employ your mini chef ~ mine is very good at adding peanut butter and brown sugar. Next you add the soda and oatmeal and mix (again, my mini chef is really good at adding oatmeal). Finally fold in the chocolate chips and candy. Bake at 350 for 10-15min.
The dough ~ YUM!
Supervising
My mini-chef did a great job at adding ingredients and doing quality checks at the end :)
The finished product!
Happy Abby = Happy Mommy!!

We went to that show at the planetarium in Chicago when Addi was 1 and she fell asleep because it was dark. Addi has also been obsessed with monsters, but different ones. She keeps telling me there are scary monsters in our house and that they are making her sick. Don't know what to do maybe we will make monster cookies to make the monsters nice.
Ohhh Ash I love your new design and fonts!! Also, these look delicious, so I think I'm going to attempt them! :) Soooo happy that you got to spend the weekend with Jordan too...YAY!!!
